Key Out (ex-Ides of Space, Sarah Blasko) has linked with False Peak Records for the release of their forthcoming LP, Afterville, with first single Face available Friday 8 July.

Drawing inspiration from The Beths, Screamfeeder and The Clean, Face is a percussive fuzzy pop song about distance and digital connection. Recorded by the band at home (with a cameo by Sounds Like Sunset's Dave Challinor), Face was mixed and mastered by the legendary Wayne Connolly (You Am I, Underground Lovers, Hoodoo Gurus) and Mikey Young (Total Control, Eddy Current Suppression Ring).

This is Key Out's first new music since 2020's acclaimed anthropomorphia, released via Half A Cow Records, which gained rotation on Double J, Feature on 2SER, plus great airplay from key community, commercial and ABC stations. Anthropomorphia was described as 'seriously beautiful' (AU Review), 'close to perfect' (Backseat Mafia) and 'a subconscious aural landscape' (Rhythms).

An east coast tour will follow the release of the afterville LP in late 2022.
